Understanding Anger
There is healthy anger and unhealthy anger. Healthy anger would take the form of you being angry at yourself as an example for procrastinating and finally get pissed off enough that you begin to take action. That’s good use of the emotion of anger. Unhealthy anger relates more to dwelling on feeling resentment toward others, in a way where your anger build up, focuses more on blaming someone else for your own unhappiness. Most people who remain angry, of course have all the justifications for their anger, and will likely speak your ear off trying to convince you about why they are so justified. They generally are very committed to being right, and usually are. But that’s not the point. The point is whether they have allowed themselves to become the victim of their own anger, or take responsibility for channeling the anger in a more constructive way. Simply get angry about the fact that we are letting anger control ourselves and begin to mobilize and channel the anger into constructive action into our lives.
